Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed sword and bayonet, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and sun rays with acorns, the centrepiece retaining its magnetic metal backplate, the reverse with a flat wire catch, maker marked C. E. JUNCKER, BERLIN, measuring 96. 84 mm (w) x 25. 72 mm (h), weighing 26. 4
