Germany, Wehrmacht. A Lappland Shield visually-hidden with maker's mark on reverse(Lapplandschild). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of northern Finland and the eastern Soviet Union topped by an inscription of LAPPLAND and a German national eagle, perforated with five holes for sew on attachment, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), a typical field made example in near extremely fine condition.
