Senegal, Republic. A National Order of the Lion of Senegal, III Class Commander United Republic of 1940 in very fine condition(Ordre national du Lion du Sé né gal). Instituted in 1960. Three piece construction, in bronze gilt with red, white, forest green and yellow enamels, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 60. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, chipping evident in the white enamels on the star point at 12 o'clock, otherwise the enamels are intact, light contact overall, on its original full length neck ribbon, very fine.
